edX: Courses by Harvard & MIT App Reviews

EdX is so far behind Coursera! Take your classes via Coursera...their app is amazing.

Does not access the course I am taking. No video. Nothing at all. Why bother putting an app in the App Store if you cant watch lectures? Duh.

I have no idea what the other reviewers are talking about. All my courses are accessible - quizzes, videos, everything. I put 4 stars because if rather have the fluid desktop experience. I really hope they update this app to make it more user friendly. I absolutely adore this app though because good quality free education is difficult to find. Thank you app developers! Keep growing this app please!

Some days the videos are available, some days the same videos are not.

Im taking one course, for which I may have downloaded 5 videos total onto my phone. A week or so ago I started to get limited storage notifications on my 64GB phone. This app was using 19GBs! How?! Thats more than the next top 5 memory consumers combined, including Spotify!

I like the version in iPhone. This has the potential to be a great mooc app. However Not all courses have mobile support. It will also be nice if quiz can be added to the app.

This app is decent but you have to wonder why there isnt an iPad app.

We also need ipad version ,please!!

Ive been using Coursera because they seem to have things down: the courses notify you when theyre starting, most content is available on the app, etc. I thought Id try edX again, so I opened the app and started scrolling through the list of mobile-friendly courses. I found one I was interested in, hit "enroll" . . . and got an error message. Killed the app, tried again . . . same thing. Tried another course . . . same thing. So no, edX has not gotten its sh*t together.

Edx is a mooc site teaches so many new technology but does not have anything in app to search for course.. Looking forward for updates.

Weve to stick with desktop or laptop to compete the courses in time. At this time were limited till the videos stuff only. Kindly improve the app features to allow us fully interact with course content as we interact over PC/laptop. Looking forward. Thx

Even the course who sat in them on PC "try on our mobile version" wont show up in the app. The app doesnt work at all. Cant download or play any videos or view any courseware.

I love the idea of this app and the chance to learn in established courses, even if it is a copy of iTunes U, but this app crashes way too much. Its gets in the way of using it at all.

At the outset, thank you for these courses. I prefer iPad for studying due to portability and good screen size. however the mobile App greatly lacks iPad support and also most of the content is not available.

Im using EdX for a long but nowadays feeling more comfortable to read with iPad. So its gonna less touched as it doesnt have any iPad version. Hope its developers will make one for iPad.

I cant use this app on iphone 6, my courses doesnt work , nothing useful in this app. Screen optimization , where is it?

Ive been using edx for more than a year on the pic version and a month ago I started using the phone version; it was limited, but it worked. This new update just keeps crashing, heating my phone and draining the battery. I actually cant open a single video or assignment. I appreciate the hard work put by all edx team, and I hope you use my review to check the new update. Thanks :)

App worked well until I Downloaded the latest version on 12/7/15. I can no longer play the videos!!!!

For example, the app crashes upon opening the courseware of "food for thought" , whereas it worked fine in the last version. Loading stalls after switching to another app and back. The above encountered iPad mini4 running on the latest IOS 9.1. Been expecting this update for a while. Please fix them asap.
